A downloadable game

This is my final project for 3D Game Art and Engines class of spring 2023. My goal was to create a 3D environment and level design loosely based off an assigned board game from the past- mine titled "The Goose Game."

At first glance, there doesn't seem to be any correlation in the level- there are no geese! If I had more time, I would have loved to make a fully controllable goose character. The connection instead lies in the level layout- the board of the goose game is a spiral leading from the outside to the middle. I emulated this idea with a 3rd person platformer level based around a circular tower. If this was a fully coded game, the goal would be to reach the top of the tower first.

In the time I had, I wanted to emphasize the visual theme. My goal was to make the style a mashup of ancient Roman architecture, with more modern Italian architecture built around it. I also wanted to spend more time providing painterly and colorful textures, to make the scene feel immersive alongside the platforming.
